Our School Day

Gates open at 8:40am, our school day starts at 8:50 am and ends at 3:20pm.

Reception to Year 6

8:50am - 3:20pm for all year groups (Reception to Year 6)

(Gates open 10 minutes prior to the start and end of the school day).

Children can enter their classroom from 8:45am and have a 'soft start' to the school day.

Our school is open for a total of 32.5 hour per week.

Our gates close at 8:55am.  All children who arrive late to school must come via the main school entrance on Greenleaf Road. Late arrival at school should only be in exceptional circumstances, as it disrupts the learning of your child as well as that of the other children in the class. The school works closely with our Education Welfare Officer (EWO) to monitor the attendance and punctuality of all children in the school.

Nursery

For children in the Nursery the morning session is from 8:45am– 11:45am and the afternoon session from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.

Morning Playtimes

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 playtime is  10:20am to 10:40am.  Children also have an afternoon playtime too.

Year 3 to Year 6 playtime is 10:40am-11:00am

Lunchtimes

Reception start at 11:45 to 1:00pm

Key Stage 1 start 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Key Stage  2 start 12:15pm to 1:!5pm

Getting to school

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option.  There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike and scooter racks located on the school grounds.
